i'd call it distractly long... but booty was popular even in the sixtys... nothin wrong w/ a little treasure in the trunk, even if it's a little out of proportion. It's what makes the world go 'round. :)
This car is a diamond in the rough. Nothing that couldn't be repaired to restore her to her former brilliance. Thank Christ for Pontiac's "Wide Track" design. Yes, these cars were land yachts - you could launch aircraft off the hood and could fit half of Saigon in the trunk. Some extreme hyperbole there, but they were comfortable 'boulevard cruisers' back in the day, and made you feel like you were the King of the Hill behind the wheel. I purchased a '63 Catalina in 1982. A 4-door post, with a 389. Not as fancy as a Bonneville...she was 'plain-jane', but I loved that car. She drove me thru Flight School, and several USN aviation squadrons. I regret selling her.
