The Valiant pictured is a 1961 V 200., not a 1960. 1960 Valiant's were their own make by Chrysler in their introductory year. They became a Plymouth model the following year in `61 Only `61's had the Plymouth badging and 3 chrome strips above the tail lights. 1960 V 200's had the word Valiant in script in the deck lid center. `60 V 100's had none.
I learned how to drive in a car just like this. It had push button tranny on the left side of the steering wheel. I broke my leg 2 weeks before I was supposed to go take my license test. I practiced paralell parking with a cast up past my knee on my gas pedal foot. I slung it over the hump and drove with my left foot on the gas and brake. I was determined to make sure I passed that test once the cast was off.
